Truffle Events
Shake off the winter blues and book your ticket to join us for a fun, educational and sensory adventure where you will experience the sight, aroma, taste and appeal of the mystical black truffle. Truffle Treasures host winter truffle hunts during June, July and August. Our truffiere is located in a pocket of the Wombat State Forest in the Daylesford Region of Victoria, just over 1 hour from Melbourne.
On arrival, you will be welcomed into our dedicated truffle facility to warm up by our cosy wood fire with a hot cup of tea or coffee. Hear about the history of truffles and our own personal journey in cultivating Earth’s ‘Black Gold’ over a period spanning 18 years. Our guests will then join a guided, ‘hands-on’ truffle hunt, working with our specialised truffle scent detectives to pin-point and unearth our aromatic delicacies. Be prepared with your camera to capture the ‘bucket-list moment’ as you carefully extract a truffle from its earthy haven and bring it to your nose to experience the intoxicating aroma.
Back in the warmth of our cosy wood fire, you will be treated to a series of tastings over 3 courses, showcasing the versatility of black truffles and the simple techniques that give everyday dishes a real WOW factor.
Fresh truffles will be available for sale – so that you can explore the magic of truffles in your own home cooking. The experience concludes around 1:00 PM, leaving you with special memories and a real insight into these incredible culinary treasures.

Gather your hat, coat, gloves, scarf and sturdy boots to experience the thrill of the hunt for truffles, led by our clever canine scent detectives Abbie and Holly who are sisters that just love to entertain.
Your visit includes a warm welcome from Abbie and Holly followed by a fire-side chat to hear all about the history of growing black truffles in Australia.
Decide whether you are joining the red team (led by Holly) or the blue team (led by Abbie) as the sibling rivalry kicks in!
Be inspired as your clever canine guides your team on an archaeological dig where you are welcome to gently unearth our prized black gold.
Which team will reign supreme with the biggest haul for the day?
See it, touch it, smell it and join us in our purpose-built truffle facility for a taste of truffles as you warm up in front of the cosy wood fire and awaken your senses to the earthy pleasure that is black truffle.
Your taste of truffles may include our delicious cauliflower soup finished with cream and freshly grated black truffle; warm, fresh crusty bread with truffle butter, and the piece de resistance (that’s French for ‘Best Bit’) is the yummy truffle-infused chocolate custard that follows.
